Challenge:
Fluence Energy is rapidly growing with international operations across Europe and EMEA. Their processes were highly manual, and their technology stack was a collection of disconnected PPM tools.
Fluence needed to have a consolidated view of its portfolios which required a robust project management solution to:
- track their project schedule.
- perform Earned Value Management (EVM).
- provide resource planning.
- integrate with Oracle Primavera Cloud for risk management.
Solution:
Fluence Energy partnered with Project Partners to implement Oracle Primavera P6 EPPM Cloud for planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects. Project Partners also created the essential integration between P6 EPPM and Oracle Primavera Cloud to perform EV analysis via native Oracle Gateway integration.
Project Partners facilitated the Discovery and Design process with Fluence Energy's Project Management Office, subject matter experts, and sponsors to identify the P6 EPPM business requirements. Project Partners:
- reviewed Fluence's business requirements.
- conducted and documented design workshops to assist with evaluating the enterprise data structure for the current P6 EPPM environment.
- documented existing integration options between P6 EPPM and OPC and provided recommendations.
- documented and assisted with the configuration of the P6 EPPM enterprise setup.
- developed a custom training plan, created training materials, and delivered train-the-trainer sessions for the P6 Web interface and P6 'professional' desktop client.
