Experts in Oracle solutions migrate Oracle EBS to Oracle Fusion Cloud PPM and integrates it with Oracle Primavera P6 EPPM to improve project transparency.
Challenge:
Metropolitan St Louis Sewer District (MSD) has been using Project Partners' OP3™ integration solution to transfer data between Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and Oracle Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management (Primavera P6 EPPM). In both cases, both Oracle applications were installed on-premises. While re-evaluating its business goals and project operational strategies, MSD identified that it needed to:
- Migrate its EBS instance to Oracle Fusion PPM Cloud.
- Keep its Primavera P6 EPPM solution on-premise.
- Integrate Oracle Fusion Cloud PPM Cloud with Primavera P6 EPPM.
Solution:
Project Partners' OP3 integration solution was developed using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) service. The solution interfaces projects and related information from Oracle Fusion PPM Cloud to Oracle Primavera P6 EPPM (on-premise). Additionally, based on further evaluation, Project Partners developed an interface for creating/updating projects, WBSs, tasks, as well as codes and UDFs at the project and task levels.
Outcome:
- In a live production environment, Project Partners migrated nearly 2000 projects from Oracle Fusion PPM Cloud to Primavera P6 EPPM.
- With the successful integration of Cloud PPM and Primavera P6 EPPM, projects and changes between the two applications are now regularly synchronized to reflect new projects and changes to existing projects.
