Well, Oracle CloudWorld 2024 was one for the books! The pace was non-stop from Monday Afternoon’s Partner summit through the closing bell at the Hub on Thursday afternoon. Based on the number of attendees, sessions, and participants, it’s safe to say everyone left Las Vegas excited and exhausted.
Artificial Intelligence For All
From the Opening Keynote through numerous sessions, Artificial Intelligence ruled the week! One area AI is making a big splash – Oracle Cloud ERP PPM. AI is changing the face of project management with capabilities that can help improve transparency for project organizations. By surfacing key insights and outliers, AI helps boost productivity and allows your project team to focus on more strategic activities. Program managers are empowered with AI-generated executive summaries and action plans. Project teams are engaged through an AI-powered digital assistant that automates routine tasks like time entry and progress tracking.
Customer Success Stories
Johnson Controls provided an excellent presentation on how they streamlined the PPM UI. This allows project managers to efficiently maintain approved periodic distributions and access variances, task costs, and re-estimate forecasts – all in six to seven minutes per project. The solution leveraged Large Language Models (LLM) via Oracle Digital Assistant, integrated with Microsoft Teams, and OpenAI’s ChatGPT to enhance the overall experience.
WSP and MARTA participated in a roundtable discussion regarding digital transformation. Topics ranged from implementation strategy to the challenges and successes they experienced with Oracle’s cutting-edge technology. They provided valuable insights into how their companies leveraged Oracle’s robust platform to enhance operational efficiencies, drive innovation, and deliver superior customer experiences.
Narrative Reporting
Underscoring these advancements is Generative AI empowering narrative reporting in the Cloud ERP suite. Through the generative AI available in narrative reporting, organizations have access to enhanced charting, improved design paradigms, and structured POV-based commentary collection and reporting. Finance can now generate narratives to visually tell the story and summarize key information across sources.
Conclusion
All in all, OCW 2024 was a resounding success, and to quote Journey from the celebration “Don’t Stop Believing,” there are more exciting things to come. Weren’t able to make it this year? Watch some of the sessions on-demand.
